Five Haiku Poems

by Sean Wild

People are sleeping
cats got into the catnip
wide-eyed and silly

Kids are riding bikes
on a path through the open field
I am riding too

Frogs croak by the pond
still water reflects the sky
red birds fly above

It is raining now
grass is growing quietly
I have stepped in mud

The house is shaking
not from the strength of the wind
the joy of laughter
