Hope

by Fiona Halliday

To hope is to ‘seek expectantly,’
To know that you are loved,
To feel the presence of Jesus with us,
And trust in His Father above.

To hope is to put our faith in God,
To know that He is there,
To step out with trust, as we follow the Way
To put ourselves in His care.

To hope is to be sure of God’s love,
To believe in Jesus, His Son,
To know that the gift of the Spirit
Helps us do what should be done.
