Empathy

by Fiona Halliday

Empathy can feel warm and snug,
It can wrap you up in the gentlest hug.
Empathy can take a walk in your shoes,
It can help you when youโ€™ve got the blues.
Empathy is when another can feel
The way youโ€™re feeling and know that itโ€™s real.
Empathy can be a friend with a listening ear,
It can help you when all you feel is fear.
Empathy is something we should all strive for,
To be there for a friend, whateverโ€™s in store.
