Empathy
by Fiona Halliday
Empathy can feel warm and snug,
It can wrap you up in the gentlest hug.
Empathy can take a walk in your shoes,
It can help you when you’ve got the blues.
Empathy is when another can feel
The way you’re feeling and know that it’s real.
Empathy can be a friend with a listening ear,
It can help you when all you feel is fear.
Empathy is something we should all strive for,
To be there for a friend, whatever’s in store.
