Down Kids

by Mike Dailey

Some of the happiest kids around
Are the sweet little kids that we call Down
Always there with hugs and kisses
A winning smile that never misses
Laughing eyes that just say love
Hatred they have not heard of
Helpful too if you’ll just let them
Nothing much will quick upset them
If you see a child that they say has Downs
Know that they are special — their love has no bounds
