A Royal Gift from God

Jumping and galloping around in a cheerful way,
Always brings me joy when I hear him bray!
He dances and kicks in the grass, this majestic animal.
To be chosen to carry the Messiah seems natural.
Out of many, God selected this gleeful foal
Vastly adored by many in such a special role.
He stands big and proud, though small and grey —
A royal gift who helps in his own unique way.
He served the woman who birthed our king.
I enjoy the donkey, who’s known throughout history.
