Thanksgiving
by Polina Moys
This bright and charming holiday
Comes joyfully each fall.
The marvelous Thanksgiving
Is cherished, loved by all.
The holiday’s rich history
Dates back to good old times:
When Indians helped Pilgrims,
Made sure they survived.
We celebrate Thanksgiving
With family and friends,
The sumptuous feast abounds,
The happy mood transcends.
The precious, juicy turkey,
A symbol of the day,
Is “Mighty Queen of Dinner,”
As many people say.
The meaning of Thanksgiving
Is to give thanks and praise
The Lord who sends us blessings
And His eternal grace!
