Pure in Heart is OPEN for submissions!
Calling all writers and artists! Spring is fast approaching with its multitude of flowers, warmth, and promises of new growth and new birth, which means … it’s time for another issue of Pure in Heart!
We want writers and artists of all ages to send us their best, most creative, and polished work.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Playful and powerful poetry
- Nail-biting stories
- Colorful artwork
- Funny and adventurous comics
- Unexpected jokes and riddles
- Delicious recipes that your parents and grandparents taught you
- Challenging and fun games with Bible themes
Remember to check out the full guidelines before submitting, and send us something wonderful no later than March 31st.

General Guidelines (for ages 17 and younger)
Poetry: 1–3 poems (any length).
Short Stories: 1 story, no longer than 2,000 words.
Art & Photography: 1–3 photos of your artwork.
Comics, Jokes, Recipes, Games: 1–3 items.
Deadline: March 31st

Poetry: 1–5 poems (any length).
Short Stories: 1–2 stories, no longer than 2,000 words each.
Art & Photography: 1–4 pieces at a time. We also accept image-text hybrids.
Comics, Jokes, Recipes, Games: 1–3 items.
Deadline: March 31st
